Who we are

This website is run by AURO (“AURO”, “we”, “us”), a technology company that builds software for businesses and institutions. For the information you share with us here, we are the “Data Fiduciary” under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

This policy covers this website: its pages, the contact form, Amaya, and messages you send us by phone, SMS or WhatsApp after finding us here. Our product EduNova, and projects we build for clients, are covered by their own agreements.

What we collect

What you send us. When you use the contact form, we receive:

  • your name and email address
  • your phone number and company or institution, if you add them
  • the topic you pick and your message
  • the date and time it was sent, and a reference number we give it

Calls, SMS and WhatsApp. If you contact us this way, we receive your phone number, your name as it appears there, and what you send us.

Technical information. To stop spam and misuse, our server briefly uses your IP address to limit how many messages can be sent in a few minutes. We don't save it with your message. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting, for a limited time.

We don't ask for sensitive information such as bank or card details, passwords, health information or identity documents. Please don't send them through the form or the chat.

Chatting with Amaya

Amaya is our AI assistant. Your messages are processed on AURO's own server to write replies; they aren't sent to an outside AI company or used to train anyone else's models.

  • Conversations aren't saved. When you close the page, the chat is gone.
  • If Amaya can't answer a question, the question itself is saved (without your name or contact details) so our team can add a better answer. We keep at most the 500 most recent, and delete them once reviewed.
  • Amaya can make mistakes. For anything important, confirm with our team.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn't use advertising cookies, analytics tools, tracking pixels or social media trackers, and it sets no cookies for visitors. That's why you don't see a cookie banner.

The only cookie is a strictly necessary sign-in cookie for AURO team members using the website's admin area. It's never set for visitors.

How we use your information

We use what you send us only to:

  • reply to your message, arrange a call and prepare a plan or quote you asked for
  • provide the services or demo you asked about
  • improve this website and Amaya's answers
  • keep the website secure and prevent spam and misuse
  • meet our legal obligations

You give us this information by choosing to send it, for these purposes. We won't add you to a newsletter or send marketing messages unless you ask for them, and you can stop them at any time.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your information. We share it only with:

  • Our email provider (Google). Contact form messages are delivered to our team by email.
  • Our hosting provider, which runs the server this website is on.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) and your phone network, only when you choose to contact us that way. They handle those messages under their own privacy policies.
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it.
  • A new owner, if AURO merges or is sold. We'd tell you, and this policy would keep applying to your information.

These providers may only use your information to provide their service to us.

Where it’s stored and for how long

Your information is stored on our server and with the providers above. Some of them, such as Google, may process it outside India, as Indian law allows.

We keep enquiries only as long as we need them to reply and follow up. If you don't become a client, we delete them once they're no longer needed. If you do, we keep what our contract and the law (for example, tax and accounting rules) require. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Keeping it safe

We protect your information with reasonable security practices. Only the AURO team can see enquiries, and the admin area is password-protected with sign-ins that expire. No system is completely secure, but if a breach ever affects your information, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we have about you and how we use it
  • correct, complete or update it
  • delete it
  • stop using it, if you withdraw your consent (as easily as you gave it)
  • let someone you nominate use these rights for you if you die or can't act yourself
  • look into a complaint about how we handle your information

To ask, contact us using any of the ways in Grievance Officer and contact and say it's a privacy request. We may ask you to confirm who you are. We'll reply as soon as we can, and within 30 days at the latest. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This website is meant for businesses, institutions and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we'll delete them. Student information in EduNova is handled for schools and institutions under their agreements with us, not this policy.

Other websites and apps

Links to other websites and apps, such as WhatsApp, take you to services we don't run. Their own privacy policies apply there.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For important changes, we'll also say so on the website. See also our Terms of Use.
